With the Community
An anti-violence cycle of workshops:
The purpose of this group is to train different community members of the peripheries of Medellin to a non-violent strategy for conflict resolution.
Trough participative meetings, artistic activities and group exercises the group is guided through the elaboration of strategies for the prevention and resolution of family violence, gender violence, sexual violence and armed violence.
The participants learn to classify and recognize different modalities of violence and to reflect on deescalation and conciliation techniques
A weekly support group: the purpose of this groups is to discuss the experience of displacement and to cope with memories of violent experiences. Forgiveness is proposed in these groups as a peace-building tool.
With children and young people
A weekly activity for the prevention of violence against children: through different playful and artistic activities children
(aged 4-13) are encouraged to reflect on their rights have been trained to recognise sexual abuse and to ask for help.
An orientation service to young people: Some young women have been supported in applying to international scholarships with the purpose to finance their studies.
